Jonathan Mayers is an artist and activist.华体会appHe has been an instructor of painting and drawing at Louisiana State University.Born and raised in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, he attended Louisiana State University as a computer science major before changing his course of study and earning his Bachelor of Fine Arts in studio art with a concentration of painting and drawing in 2007.In 2011, Mayers received his Master of Fine Arts with a concentration in painting from the University of New Orleans.In 2012, he became a co-manager and founding member of theTEN Gallery + Collective, located on Magazine Street in New Orleans.He has been known to use a traditional, old master's drawing technique of silverpoint to create fantastic surreal images on canvas and paper, but more notably, has incorporated his metaphorical Green Guedry character into many of his works.
