hth华体会体育app官网In her lecture, "Architecture and Empire in Southern Spain," Brothers will discuss the construction of new palaces in and around Granada and Seville following the re-conquest of Granada in 1492.The new Christian elite had to develop an architectural language appropriate to their expanded empire in a politically charged environment. The result—a surprising combination of Islamic and Italian modes of building—manifests the collision of style and ideology.
