Tracy Burns has taught interior design at LSU as a professional in residence since 2006.Burns received her bachelor of interior design from Louisiana State University and is a registered interior designer in Louisiana and a NCIDQ certified designer.She is currently the Professional Residency Coordinator for the School of Interior Design.She is co-owner of CDI Solutions, where she is also principal designer.Burns has more than 28 years of design and project management experience in all areas of interior design, including space planning, programming, code compliance, cost estimating and budgeting, finish and furniture selection, contract administration, and facilitation of installations.She has been involved in a variety of commercial projects in fields ranging from government to healthcare.Her specialization includes AutoCAD and design-related software applications.Burns is also a member of the International Facility Management Association.

Her work has appeared in several publications and has received numerous design awards from the International Interior Design Association and ASID.CDI Solutions currently employs four full-time LSU interior design graduates and one LSU interior design intern.
