hth华体会体育app官网Annicia Streete is an assistant professor in the LSU School of Architecture.hth华体会体育app官网Annicia was born in Trinidad and Tobago, located in the southern Caribbean, and immigrated to the United States to pursue her education and career in the architecture profession.hth华体会体育app官网Her academic and professional background is multi-disciplinary, earning her Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering with an emphasis in Structures at the South Dakota School of Mines and Technology and a Master of Architecture at the University of Colorado Denver.hth华体会体育app官网This background has afforded her the opportunity to teach and practice across the architecture, construction, and engineering fields over the past fourteen years.

hth华体会体育app官网As a practitioner, Annicia has designed and built projects in residential, commercial, and healthcare with firms Sprocket Design Build, Catena Construction and Treanor HL, formerly H+L Architecture.As an educator she has parlayed this experience, teaching in the design studios and building technology course sequences.Her research interests focus on Informal Building Technology practices of African Diasporic communities throughout the Caribbean and Latin America.It is situated in the domain studies of Afrofuturism and seeks to study the use of innovative building technologies within an informal process to promote the design of equitable and sustainable environments of the future.hth华体会体育app官网In addition to her passion for architecture, she has professionally instructed in dance and fashion and enjoys the intersection of all three.hth华体会体育app官网Committed to her goal of improvement and enhancement through education and opportunity, Annicia has served in mentorship programs such as the ACE Mentorship program and is has served as the faculty advisor to the American Institute of Architecture Students, and Freedom By Design (AIAS, FBD) chapter, in the College of Architecture and Planning (CAP), at CU Denver.hth华体会体育app官网Annicia has played a pivotal role in the education and practice fields of architecture in her current state of Colorado.She is a founding member of the Colorado professional chapter of NOMA (National Organization of Minority Architects), serving on the Executive Board as chapter parliamentarian.She also serves on the National Board of NOMA as one of the Educate Co-Chairs and counts each opportunity to teach and serve an honor.
