Interior Design Scholarships
Students pursuing a Bachelor of Interior Design at Louisiana State University who meet the individual scholarship criteria provided below are encouraged to apply.Interior design scholarship recipients are announced during the IDSO Design Event each spring.
The criteria, application requirements, and amounts provided below represent the scholarships and amounts awarded in the previous academic year and serve as a general reference—scholarship opportunities and amounts vary from year to year.Scholarships applications are reviewed and chosen applicants awarded each spring.Scholarship amounts vary each year but range between $300 and $2,000.
School of Interior Design Scholarships
John Campbell Interior Design Scholarship
Carroll King Mathews Sustainable Design Scholarship*
- Full-time BID student during the next fall semester
- Must submit scholarship application, resume, and a letter addressing how the funds will be used to support an interest in sustainable design, such as the focus of a senior capstone project or other activities that contribute to the applicant's education in sustainable design.

Dixon Smith Educational Scholarship in Interior Design*
- Full-time 3rdor 4thyear BID student during the next fall semester
- Minimum 3.0 GPA

Vincent Guaccero Memorial Scholarship*
- Full-time 4thyear student during the next fall semester
- Must demonstrate outstanding design abilities, well-rounded academic record, and participation in professional activities and leadership development.In addition, students receiving this award are encouraged to make a gift equal to their award to the School of Interior Design Foundation once they have graduated and are financially stable.

Scott Gerard Verret Scholarship*
- Full-time 3rdyear student during the next fall semester
- Minimum 3.0 GPA
- Must demonstrate financial need

Torre Scholarship in Interior Design*
- Full-time BID student during the next fall semester
- Minimum 2.75 GPA
- Must be an exceptional design student and demonstrate financial need
- Must submit scholarship application, design portfolio (hard copy or link to digital portfolio), and student financial status form.

Undergraduate Student Interior Design Scholarship*
- Full-time BID student during the next fall semester
- Minimum 2.5 GPA
- Demonstrate financial need

Interior Design Travel Scholarships
Andrea M.Daugherty Memorial Travel Award in Interior Design*
- Full-time BID students in need of travel support
- Minimum 3.0 GPA
- Must submit travel scholarship application, resume, student financial status form, and a letter describing how the funds will be used to support travel that supports and enhances educational and professional goals.

Dorothy Fletcher Field Research Fund*
- Full-time BID student
- Preference given to 2nd, 3rd, or 4thyear students who demonstrate financial need
- Must submit travel scholarship application, resume, student financial status form, and a letter describing how the funds will be used to support travel and/or field research that supports and enhances educational and professional goals.

Tipton Associates Travel Award | $1750
- Full-time fourth- and fifth-year BArch and BLA students as well as junior- and senior-level BID students who have a 2.5 or higher GPA
- Full-time MArch and MLA students who have a 2.5 or higher GPA
Alton and Hillery Scavo Award Program
- Full-time BArch, BFA, BLA, BID student (one from each school)
- Newly established award on the basis of the theme "social impact"
